YAKUSHIMA World natural heritage
September, 1992.
Japan became the conclusion country of the 126th World Heritage
Convention, and YAKUSHIMA was registered for the first time as a
world natural heritage in Japan on December 11, 1993.
The forest of YAKUSHIMA is thought that vertical distribution of
vegetation that extends it to subalpine is remarkable from the
subtropics.
The Yaku Japan cedar of the age of a tree several thousand year is possessed,
and a lot of peculiar plants grow naturally.
A peculiar ecosystem is composed.
Flora and fauna's with the fear of extermination living, and growing
naturally are the reasons for registration.
Registration other than World Heritage
